Umless Terms of Use

These terms apply to the Umless app, made by Relentless Forge Studio ("we"). By using Umless you agree to them and to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which also applies. If anything here conflicts with Apple's agreement, Apple's agreement wins.
What Umless is
Umless is a practice tool. It measures your speaking (pace, pauses, filler words and similar) and gives general suggestions. It is not speech therapy, medical advice or a diagnosis, and its measurements are estimates from on-device speech recognition, which can make mistakes.
Umless Pro subscriptions
- Umless is free to download and includes one practice take a day.
- Umless Pro unlocks unlimited takes, every prompt pack and your full history. It is offered as an auto-renewing subscription: yearly (with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers, where offered) or weekly. Prices are shown in the app before you buy and may vary by country.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase, or when a free trial ends.
- Your subscription renews automatically at the same price for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your iPhone's Settings › your name › Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
- If you cancel during a free trial, you are not charged. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies: reportaproblem.apple.com.
Your content
Your recordings and transcripts are yours and stay on your device (see the Privacy Policy). You are responsible for what you record; please don't record other people without their permission.
Scripts in the app
The read-aloud scripts and prompts in Umless are original writing for practice. You may read them aloud for your own practice; please don't republish them as your own.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Umless running well but provide it "as is", without warranties beyond those required by law. We may update the app and these terms; if the terms change in a way that matters, we will update the date above.
